One of the few motocross athletes talented enough to move straight from amateur racing to a factory team, Ryan Dungey is viewed by many as the sport's next star. With more than a dozen titles as an amateur, Ryan has steadily increased his accolades since his professional debut at just seventeen years old.
After his first pro race, the Millville Motocross where Ryan placed seventh overall, he went on to garner more podium time in Fresno and Vancouver in 2006. Considered to be at the top of the next motocross generation, Ryan was awarded the title of AMA's Rookie of the Year in 2007 after winning four races in the Lites Class.
In 2008 the Minnesota native took first place at the East West Shoot Out in Las Vegas, becoming the first to win that competition two consecutive years in a row. Ryan closed out his season on top and was awarded the AMA Rising Star Award for his efforts throughout the year.
Ryan is Target's first motocross racer and began riding at a young age, inspired by his dad's involvement and success in the sport. Ryan's two brothers race as well, and with his mom as manager, motocross has always been a significant part of this family from Belle Plain, MN.
