Minneapolis (July 2007) – Isaac Mizrahi for Target presents a stunning fall collection for stylish women who are ready to update their wardrobes for the cooler weather. This season's collection presents a broad assortment of affordable must-haves for any occasion.
The fall collection is refreshingly bright and colorful with a rainbow of hues on items ranging from v-neck sweaters and trench coats to cardigans and shift dresses. Pops of red, green, pink and orange energize the season's classic silhouettes. Staple suit pieces, including bootleg trousers, cropped jackets, three-button blazers and slim skirts, look fresh in suede and tweed and make a fashionable statement at the office or a weekend affair. Fall’s alternative to color is shades of gray, found in various essentials including a long-sleeve tunic dress, plaid swing jacket, scoop-neck belted dress and wide-leg trousers, as well as a stand-out long, belted knit sweater.
"The Isaac Mizrahi for Target collection continues to provide smart, fashion-forward pieces that appeal to women of all ages," says Trish Adams, senior vice president, Target. "Isaac’s style insight and sense of wearability result in a chic collection sure to delight our guests.”
The always classic white dress shirt looks modern with extended cuffs and origami-detailed buttons and pairs well with a houndstooth knit vest or pink herringbone jacket. A tan and pink houndstooth trench is an ultra-feminine topper to protect from the brisk fall weather, as is a long, double-breasted wool pea coat in eye-catching red. The lambskin leather skirt in black is a chic must-have piece that transitions easily from day to night, especially when paired with a white bow-collar shirt, sheer plaid blouse or ribbed turtleneck.
Little black dresses are an essential this season and Mizrahi offers an array of styles that ensure women look effortlessly chic. A mod shift dress with a jeweled neckline has the perfect dose of glamour and sophistication for a night of holiday festivities, while an A-line dress with a white Peter Pan collar is a charming ensemble for office soirées. For a more romantic look, details such as ruffles and pleats add a feminine touch. Women will ring in the New Year with an elegant black
sequined tank paired with black wide-leg trousers for a look that is bold and refined.
Add finishing touches with one of Mizrahi’s many fashionable accessories, which include an assortment of bags, shoes and sunglasses. Stylish handbags in autumn shades of red and deep beige are available in a variety of shapes and sizes for women on-the-go or out on the town. Shoes make a statement in patent or suede high-heels, faux-snakeskin pumps and patent leather bow flats. Oversized sunglasses inspire movie-star confidence and complete the season’s chic head-to-toe look.
Known for his charismatic persona and witty style, Mizrahi has won four Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards. Exploding onto the fashion scene in the late 1980s, Mizrahi’s idea of seasonless dressing has become the foundation of his design sensibility – his designs are not trend driven, so women can combine looks from different seasons to build a classic wardrobe for every occasion.
The Isaac Mizrahi for Target fall 2007 collection will be available at select Target stores nationwide and at Target.com.
