Families Celebrate Joy of Reading on the Target Children’s Stage at The New York Times Great Children’s Read
What:
Children of all ages and their families will gather at Columbia University for the New York Times Great Children’s Read presented by Target. The event, which is free to the public, will feature book readings and signings, live entertainment and musical performances – all to help foster children’s love for reading as a fun and recreational activity.
Who:
Celebrity authors including Grammy Award-winning artist and actor Common, John Bemelmans Marciano, Laurence Yep and Jane O’Connor will make their books come alive for children, families and the young at heart, from the larger-than-life Target "Big Red Chair," a symbol of the company's commitment to supporting early childhood reading. In addition, families are invited to enjoy live musical performances by popular children's artists including Lisa Loeb, They Might Be Giants, Playhouse Disney’s "Choo-Choo Soul" and Yo Gabba Gabba!.
