The program focuses on children from birth to age 9, and was developed in partnership with the United States Department of Education. Ready. Sit. Read! puts books in the hands of children through pediatrician visits, sponsors a national writing contest in partnership with the Library of Congress, helps parents and children create their own book club, and supports book festivals across the country.
