Target Puts Department Store Brands Affordably at Guests’ Fingertips

NP Set Introduces New Dazzling Spring Palettes and Primers

MINNEAPOLIS (March 5, 2009) – As the hot season beckons so too does the need for effortless glamour. Napoleon Perdis makes it easy and affordable to deliver all the makeup required to flip from work to play. New from NP Set are three fashion-inspired, multi-use palettes that create the season’s freshest looks using just one slim compact, and two sophisticated primers that establish a flawless canvas on which to build any desired look and increase makeup’s longevity. The new releases embody the notion that spring makeup should be an absolute breeze.

The new palette sets and primers will be available beginning May 2009 at Target stores and online at Target.com for $29 each.

NP Set Sweater Set, Denim Set and Career Set, $29 each

Inspired by perennial fashion looks and housed in a sleek compact arrayed with graphic stars, each pocket-size palette holds the essentials for easy makeup management. Palettes contain a blush, five eye shadows and three lip glosses, as well as two brushes for speedy glamour. The palettes are portable enough to slip into a clutch and delightful enough to give as gifts. NP Set takes the guesswork out of day-to-night looks, with illustrated and numbered application instructions in each palette. A smattering of stars on the exterior of the compact hints at the fashion look within.

Sweater Set: A soft, languid and girlie combination of colors for women accustomed to wearing lightweight sweaters all-year-round. This cozy palette includes gorgeous pale pinks, shimmering golds and smoky grays, as well as winsome lip shades.

Denim Set: This dynamic palette is ideal for the woman who appreciates a little rock chic with her makeup. Vivacious violets, statement tangerine and purple tones work beautifully with your favorite pair of jeans or denim jumpsuit.

Career Set: A polished palette that is both work-appropriate and unashamedly pretty. The colors include plum, gold, and navy plus some irresistible neutrals. If you seek makeup that is restrained yet stylish, this is for you. $29

NP Set Pre-Foundation Primers (Bronzer and Pore Perfecting)

The NP Set Primer, launched last year, has been received just as enthusiastically for its ability to prepare the skin, nourish the complexion and lock in a flawless finish. Now, Perdis is adding two more primers to NP Set, and these beauty building blocks are equally destined for iconic status.

The two new multi-tasking formulations, Pore Perfecting Pre-Foundation Set ($26), and Bronzer Pre-Foundation Primer ($29), boast an exquisite velvety texture that glides on to skin and sets the stage for scintillating results. The former is designed to minimize the appearance of enlarged pores by soaking up excess oils and smoothing out edges. The latter has a lick of bronzer for women who seek a healthy glow.

Just like the original, the new primers are laced with ingredients that benefit the complexion. Chiefly, pomegranate extract, with its powerful antioxidant properties, and allantoin, which protects and softens the skin. A cocktail of vitamins A, C and E join in the fight against free radicals, while boosting the skin’s ability to retain moisture for an altogether fresher, plumper look. Like all NP Set products, these paraben-free formulations also make them suitable for all skin types.

Napoleon Perdis is the thunder from Down Under, a makeup artist extraordinaire known for his simple yet luxurious cosmetics instilled with a message of female empowerment. The Australian-born beauty guru, who ministers to celebrities on the red carpet as well as real women everywhere, is a champion of natural makeup looks and breezy tips. NP Set is his dazzling collection that launched at Target stores and on Target.com in fall 2008.
