The Target poll revealed:

  • Almost 40 percent of women who wear red lipstick put on the touch of rouge to feel feminine, while 37 percent do so to feel sexy**.

*The survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Target between April 10 and April 14, 2008 among 2,511 adults ages 18+, of whom, 1,173 are men and 1,338 are women.
