(March 05, 2009) —
Mossimo for Target offers great style and value for women, men and kids
MINNEAPOLIS (March 2009) — Step into spring with modern and affordable options from the Mossimo® for Target® collection. California-chic has never looked so good as designer Mossimo Giannulli presents a range of on-trend and classic styles featuring bold colors, patterns and lightweight fabrics that are reasonably priced and perfect for the warmer spring and summer days.
“Fashionable and practical continues to be the mantra for the Mossimo for Target collection,” says Trish Adams, senior vice president, Target. “Mossimo’s collection has something for everyone in the family while delivering great value.”
Women
This spring, Giannulli offers a mix of fashion-forward, timeless feminine silhouettes. Tiered ruffles are incorporated into tops with punchy floral graphics, lightweight skirts and one-shouldered tops. Dresses are the easiest way to pull together a fresh and no-fuss look. Whether the style is structured or flowy, cheerful colors in bright coral, cobalt blue and green, as well as graphic prints in black and white make a statement in any situation. Shorts range in length to suit personal style preference, from the knee-grazing Bermuda style to cuffed or pleated short shorts – either look can pair well with a basic tank or a cardigan, available in a rainbow of colors. Wide-legged pants and straight-cut jeans can easily transition from day to night when coupled with a scoop-neck blouse and chunky-heel sandals, and are available at a price that won’t sting the wallet.
The Mossimo for Target Plus Size women’s collection offers new takes on wardrobe staples that brighten up any wardrobe as summer approaches. Sizes range from 1X to 3X and include a variety of fashion-forward long- and short-sleeve tops, and smocked dresses, as well as pencil skirts and bootcut jeans. Jewel tones and floral prints add punches of color to dolman- and flutter-sleeve blouses. Basic knit tops are revamped with draping, ruching or braided trim.
Accessories are an easy way to update any look this spring. Mossimo for Target has an assortment of great wallet-friendly pieces in a variety of styles and hues. Hobos, clutches and totes make a bold statement with eye-catching patterns, textures and hardware. Shoes range from gladiator flats to chunky high-heel sandals that bring any ensemble from a day at the beach to a night on the town. Sunglasses not only protect your eyes from the sun, but will glam up any outfit with aviator or oversized metal frames.
Men
The Mossimo for Target men’s collection kicks off the summer with an assortment of preppy and laid-back pieces that can be mixed and matched, transitioning from work to weekend with ease. Bright plaid or striped long- and short-sleeve button-downs paired with distressed cargo or jean shorts for a casual look, or black slacks for a more tailored approach. The Mossimo Premium Denim collection offers foundation pieces for any man’s wardrobe with dark and vintage washes that are always in style at an exceptional value.
Staying true to his roots, Giannulli includes an array of swimwear for men. Board shorts are available in a rainbow of colors and patterns, highlighting personal style at the beach with graphic detailing or simple, solid prints.
Children
Boys and girls alike have a wide assortment of stylish and budget-friendly options for both school and play. Cheerful bright dresses and tops make any girl stand out in style. Tops pair nicely with solid or plaid-print shorts, and a dress complements well with simple, strappy sandals. For boys, madras or cargo shorts pair well with plain and striped t-shirts. Bright polos matched with jeans create a smart, clean look.
The Mossimo for Target Spring 2009 collection will be available at most Target stores nationwide and at Target.com beginning in March.
