Tina Tyler is Executive Vice President and Chief Stores officer for Target.
Tyler joined Target in 1987 as a Stores team member. Since then, she has held a number of leadership positions within the Stores organization, including Store Team Leader (1992), District Team Leader (1993), Regional Director (1995) and Regional Vice President (1997). She was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1998, with responsibility for stores in three of Target’s four U.S. regions. She moved into a headquarters position in 2010, as Senior Vice President, New Business Development and Enterprise Strategy. Her responsibilities included developing a small formats strategy and international growth opportunities.
Tyler was promoted to lead the U.S Stores organization in January 2011, and in 2013 assumed responsibility for Target’s Assets Protection team. She now leads a team of more than 300,000 team members in 1,801 stores in the U.S. that generate more than $70 billion in annual sales.
In addition to her career at Target, Tyler is also member of The American National Red Cross Board of Governors and in 2013 began serving on the organization’s Compensation and Management Development Committee.
She earned her B.A. from Hardin Simmons University.
